Mechanical Engineer
Overview:
(New Orleans, LA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer.
Essential Duties:
• Lead construction projects from initial concept through completion, including historical building renovations and new major building constructions.
• Ensure adherence to mechanical norms, practices, standards, guidelines, and procedures while staying current with industry standards and technology codes.
• Specify mechanical equipment, control devices, motors, and other auxiliary equipment.
• Review and evaluate vendor information for instrumentation and electrical components, determining suitability for specific project applications.
• Assist production, electrical, and project engineers, as well as technicians, as needed.
• Create and modify documentation related to construction drawings and applicable codes, including mechanical specifications.
• Engage in self-improvement through peer coaching and constructive feedback.
• Attend local meetings and visit construction sites.
Requirements/Skills:
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of engineering science and technology, particularly HVAC solutions.
• Analytical thinking skills with persistence and determination.
• Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to visit and inspect construction sites as needed.
Benefits:
• Competitive salary ranging from $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year.
