Vice President of Engineering
Overview:
(New Orleans, LA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Vice President of Engineering.
Essential Duties:
• Lead and oversee engineering operations across multiple disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering professional growth and ensuring adherence to industry standards and company practices.
• Spearhead strategic initiatives, driving innovation and continuous improvement in engineering processes and project execution.
• Ensure all engineering projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement company-wide strategies and objectives.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders, ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering services.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback and implementing development plans for engineering staff.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations to keep the company at the forefront of engineering excellence.
Requirements/Skills:
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• 10+ years of experience as an engineer in mechanical, electrical, or structural disciplines.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering principles, industry standards, and best practices.
• Strong leadership and management skills with a proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
• Proficiency in engineering software, including Revit and AutoCAD, is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to visit and inspect construction sites as needed.
