Tax Manager Job Description
Overview:
New Orleans, United States: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Tax Manager for a leading public accounting firm in the Greater New Orleans area.
Essential Duties:
• Direct multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring all activities are accomplished within budgeted time.
• Manage special assignments efficiently.
• Handle complex tax compliance and planning issues, formulate solutions, and ensure the completion of tasks.
• Conduct and manage field work for various clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory and client requirements.
• Complete all financial statements, tax returns, and special service engagements.
• Maintain consistent client contact as required by the nature of the engagement to manage expectations and deliverables.
Requirements/Skills:
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in tax management.
• Previous experience working in a public accounting firm is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code and Regulations.
• Familiarity with CCH Access Tax and CCH Workflow software is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, capable of effectively communicating with a diverse group of individuals.
• High degree of professionalism, including the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Highly organized and capable of performing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
• This in-office position is based in the Central Business District in New Orleans. Paid parking is available.
• The schedule is flexible, allowing for start times between 7-9 AM and departure times between 4-6 PM.
