Flexicrew Technical Services is looking for two (2) Mechanical Drafters for our top client in La Porte, TX.

This position is paying $30-36/hr. typically working 50-60 hours per week but could be up to 70-80 per week depending on workload needs.

 

Job Description:

 

Must have 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Drafter. Preferably 10+ years. This role will primarily be working with turbomachinery design and other rotating equipment.

This position will be working with 3D modeling, taking scans, and reading point data clods as well as hand measurements with precision measuring tools to the .001".

Candidates should be highly proficient in AutoCAD/Inventor, with a focus on 3D modeling.

This position will be working with reverse engineering tasks as well.

Job Requirements:

5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Drafter

5+ years of experience working with turbomachinery and rotating equipment

Candidates should have experience working with complex/precision geometry modeling experience. AutoCAD and Inventor experience as well as Master CAM

Candidates should be willing to work an average of 50-55 hours per week but be willing to work weekends and extended hours when the workload requires

Candidates with impellers and blade/airfoils will be ahead of the curve from most candidates.

Experience:

Parametric models. (Using Siemens NX / Solidworks / Creo CAD software)

Familiarization with free form surfaces.

Familiarization with laser scan data.

Understanding of manufacturing processes.

Creating complex technical drawings.

Familiarization with GD&T.

 

This individual will possibly be working with our manufacturing group that deals with multiple complex geometry parts such as impellers, inlet guide vanes, diaphragms, steam turbine blades, nozzles of different shapes and sizes. This individual will need to be able to work independently and in a face pace environment, problem solve and be able to make design decisions.
