Benefits Account Manager | Customer Service Representative
Overview:
Metairie, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Benefits Account Manager | Customer Service Representative to join our client’s team. This position will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining relationships with clients, ensuring their employee benefits programs are administered efficiently and effectively. This position requires a blend of excellent customer service skills, in-depth knowledge of employee benefits, and the ability to resolve issues and inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
Essential Duties:

Serve as the primary point of contact for client accounts, fostering strong relationships by delivering exceptional customer service and support.

Manage and oversee client accounts, including enrollment procedures, plan modifications, and benefits administration.

Conduct regular client meetings and reviews to ensure client satisfaction and discuss potential adjustments to benefits packages.

Collaborate with insurance carriers and vendors to address issues related to claims, billing, and coverage.

Keep clients informed about new products, services, and industry trends impacting their benefits.

Provide guidance to clients on benefits plan options, regulatory compliance, and best practices in benefits administration.

Prepare and present comprehensive reports and analyses on benefits plan performance and utilization.

Assist in developing and implementing client-specific communication strategies to improve employee engagement with benefits.

Handle confidential information with discretion and adhere to privacy laws and company policies.

Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on industry changes and advancements.
Requirements/Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service or account management, ideally within the insurance or employee benefits industry.

Strong understanding of employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.

Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the capacity to provide solutions aligning with client and company needs.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with benefits administration software.

Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.

Current Life and Health Insurance License, or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
