Paralegal
Overview:
Baton Rouge, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Paralegal to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the legal profession, excellent organizational skills, and a strong attention to detail. Our client is a reputable law firm, known for its commitment to excellence in legal representation and client satisfaction.
Essential Duties:

Assisting attorneys with case preparation, including drafting legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.

Conducting legal research and gathering relevant information to support case strategy.

Organizing and maintaining case files, including electronic and physical documents.

Managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings with clients, witnesses, and other parties.

Communicating effectively with clients, court personnel, and other attorneys.

Assisting with trial preparation, including preparing exhibits and witness lists.

Reviewing and summarizing deposition transcripts, medical records, and other discovery materials.

Providing administrative support to attorneys, such as billing and invoicing.
Requirements/Skills:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Paralegal certification from an accredited program is preferred.

Previous experience working as a paralegal in a law firm setting is highly desirable.

Proficiency in legal research tools and software, such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer workstation.

Capable of lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds of case files and other materials.

Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for typing, writing, and handling documents.

Visual acuity and ability to read small print and computer screens.

Hearing and speaking abilities to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and other parties.

Mobility to move within the office and courtroom environments as needed.
