Metairie, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services is now hiring a Structural Engineer for our client, a leader in engineering design, specializing in Public Infrastructure, Flood Protection, Water/Wastewater, Coastal, and Ecosystem Restoration projects, as well as in H&H Modeling and GIS Mapping. Role Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in conceptual, preliminary, and final design phases, as well as plan production for roadways and bridges. This role demands a proficient blend of technical expertise and communication skills to effectively prepare plans, perform engineering calculations, and develop contract specifications.

Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering required; MS Degree preferred.

• PE (Professional Engineer) licensure required.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in design and plan production, with a preference for candidates familiar with Louisiana DOTD details and production. Experience with USACE projects and designs is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in computer drafting and structural analysis models.

• Experience in the preparation of plans, contract documents, and bridge rating is advantageous.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed plans and construction documents for infrastructure projects, focusing on roadways and bridges.

• Perform engineering calculations to support detailed plans and construction documents.

• Develop contract specifications and assist in the preparation of contract bid documents.

• Coordinate various disciplines within the construction documents and ensure the integration of design and pay items.

• Supervise the preparation of construction cost estimates and attend project meetings to provide insights and updates.

• Assist in the preparation of proposals and contribute to internal project discussions as needed.
