Kenner, Louisiana: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is currently seeking a dedicated Construction Materials Technician with a preference for ACI Certification, for temp-to-permanent position. This role is essential for ensuring the quality and safety of construction materials used in a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial developments. The successful candidate will conduct field and laboratory testing on concrete, asphalt, and soil, in addition to performing concrete inspections.

 

Position Title: Construction Materials Technician

 

Location: Kenner, LA

 

Field Technician Responsibilities:

• Conduct concrete, asphalt, and soil testing during the construction of various projects.

• Perform laboratory testing to assess the quality and compliance of construction materials.

• Carry out concrete inspections to ensure standards are met.

• Work under various weather and site conditions to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.

 

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in the construction testing field is essential.

• Ability to perform duties under adverse weather and/or site conditions.

• High school diploma/GED and a valid/current state driver's license are required.

• Additional training in a technical area is preferred.

• ACI Grade 1 Certification is preferred, showcasing expertise in concrete testing.

• Possession of a TWIC Card is preferred, indicating eligibility to work in secure areas.

• A valid Driver's License is mandatory.

• Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening as a condition of employment.
