Technician

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Mid-Level Technician with a specialization in industrial laundry equipment. This role requires proven experience in industrial machine repair, focusing on washers, dryers, and finishing equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical skills, familiarity with industrial laundry equipment, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair issues efficiently. Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are essential for this position.

Essential Duties:

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on industrial laundry equipment.

• Conduct regular inspections of mechanical components such as drums, bearings, belts, pulleys, and seals to identify wear, tear, or damage.

• Diagnose and repair electrical problems, including issues with electrical connections, wiring, heating elements, thermostats, and sensors.

• Inspect and maintain pneumatic systems, including valves, actuators, air compressors, and tubing.

• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and hoses.

• Ensure the safety systems of the equipment, such as emergency stop buttons and safety switches, are functioning correctly.

• Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical documentation to perform repairs and maintenance efficiently.

Requirements/Skills:

• Proven experience as an industrial laundry technician or a similar role.

• Strong mechanical skills and proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.

• Familiarity with industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and finishing equipment.

• Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.

• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy equipment and perform repairs.

Needed Skills:

• Mechanical: Knowledge of mechanical components and the ability to diagnose and repair issues involving belts, pulleys, bearings, etc.

• Electrical: Understanding of electrical circuits, wiring, and the ability to safely perform electrical repairs and replacements.

• Pneumatic: Skilled in inspecting and troubleshooting pneumatic systems and components.

• Hydraulic: Proficiency in hydraulic systems, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues.

• Safety Systems: Knowledge of safety systems integrated into the equipment and ensuring their proper function.

Physical Demand:

Working Conditions:

Education:

• High School education or equivalent. Further technical training or certifications in industrial machinery repair are preferred.
