CNC Machinist

Canastota, NY: Flexicrew Technical Services is now hiring a seasoned CNC Programmer for our client in the Rotating Machinery Industry.

CNC Programmer with need to have 10+ years’ experience and be proficient in Mastercam. SolidWorks experience is preferred but not required. They would like to fill the CNC Machinists first but if you find a solid CNC Programmers, please submit them.

• Experience programming Lathes, VTLs, HBM, 3 axis milling, 4 axis milling. Strong multi-axis experience.

• 5 axis milling is preferred but not required.

• Experience in the rotating equipment field preferred.

• Writes programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency.

• Creates machinist instructions and determining operational sequences.

• Reviews 2D/3D CAD design blueprints.

• Provides support to machinists during CNC machine set-up.

• Selects appropriate cutting tools, feeds, and speeds.

• Translates instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program. 

• Proficient in computer use, reading comprehension, active listening, math, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Demonstrates excellent time management, organizational, planning, and mechanical aptitude with knowledge of machine shop work.

• Detail-oriented, self-sufficient, and skilled in handling complex spreadsheets with the ability to work independently.

• Will provide relocation assistance if candidate is outside of NY but would prefer them to be local.

• Pay Range: $25-40/hr.

• This will be for first shift. 1^st shift: 5:00am-4:00pm or 7:00am-3:00am

• Must be able to work effectively with little or no supervision.
