Responsibilities:

Responsible for craft labor performing disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly and non-OEM turbomachinery including Axial, Single Stage Overhung, Horizontally and Vertically Split Multi-Stage, Oil Free Screw Compressors; Hot Gas Expanders; Steam Turbines; and other rotating equipment as needed.

Inspects, compares, and records measurements of component parts to customer, OEM and industry standard specifications using a variety of precision measuring instruments, tools and gages.

Participates in investigating and determining root cause failure of equipment and components and recommends repair methods and procedures.

Coordinates daily activities and oversees Mechanics.

Drives key performance indicators including Utilization and On-Time Delivery

Coordinates material movements between work areas and with shipping / receiving.

Notifies Quality and Operations Manager in the event of non-conformity and drives for speedy resolution.

Analyzes and understands present and future workload / capacity and is able to re-prioritize / redirect work as needed.

Performs final testing and inspection when required.

Maintain a safe working environment and a commitment to safety excellence.

Responsible for understanding and complying with the safety policy, procedures, and instructions.

Leads group in maintaining a clean and organized work area and drives cleanup & 5S initiatives.

Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion.
Education:
-
High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution.
-
Post High School degree in a mechanical related field is a plus.
Experience/Requirements:
-
15 years or more in relevant turbo-machinery industry.
-
Safety-first mindset with self and coworkers
-
Set up and performing of hydro or gas leak tests.
-
Communicate with supervision, crafts, and customers during the inspection and repair process.
-
Good organization skills.
-
Expert in use of precision measuring equipment (mic, caliper, etc.)
-
Supply basic mechanics tools and measuring devices required to complete work as assigned.
-
Ability to work and lead in a team environment.
-
Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required.
-
Ability to work in an environment of constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities.
-
Ability and willingness to be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required.

Ability and willingness to work around and use large propane / acetylene torches.
-
Ability to operate small lifts, pallet jacks and other lifting equipment.
-
Strong oral and written communication skills.
-
Basic computer and math skills.

*Need someone with 10+ years in reciprocating compressor experience. 5+ on turbines*

They must be willing to work 60+ hour weeks and weekends when needed

They would like someone that can work both in the shop and the field. Someone experienced in both
Schedule:

2nd Shift

2:00PM-10:30PM or 4:30PM-12:00AM
Pay range:
-
$40-$50/HR
