Roaster

Job Responsibilities:

Operating roasting machines to customer needs. Upholds and provides safe, high-quality, consistent products, and superior services that anticipate, meet or exceed the requirements of our customers.

Job Duties:

• Maintains proper color and blends of coffees as established by the product specification.

• Maintains accurate roasting sheets, control charting and other records.

• Maintains an accurate inventory through use of a computerized inventory system.

• Incorporates rework at established quality specifications as required.

• Performs sample testing with roasted coffee to ensure color and moisture are all within customer specifications.

• Services equipment in roasting area and keeps lead maintenance informed of all needs.

• Responsible for general housekeeping around the roasting area.

• Complies with General Safety Communication Program.

• Performs any other duties/tasks that may be assigned to him/her on an as needed basis.

Skills and Requirements:

• Ability to lift 35-50 lbs throughout the shift

• Ability to stand for 8+ hours a day

• 1 year of machine operator experience in a production setting

• Ability to work in high heat environment

• Ability to read and write in English
