We are hiring for a Plant Manager in Northeast Florida for a specialized industrial manufacturing facility.

 

The position oversees all aspects of manufacturing processes, establishing workflow and assembly methods to maximize efficiency of manufacturing operations. Directs and monitors workforce utilization. Supports supervision and hourly employee training initiatives. Helps drive employee engagement and site recognition efforts. 


Job Duties:

  • Direct and manage plant operations for production and service.

  • Coordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to insure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.

  • Develop and control profits, plans, and budget.

  • Ensure all goals and permanent corrective actions are in place for processes related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost KPIs.

  • Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and salaries.

  • Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.

  • Control and minimize labor overtime and repair expenses. Manage capital assets. 

  • Develop and implement plans to improve manufacturing processes to reduce labor hours and costs of manufacturing though the utilization of Lean principles. 

  • Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives. Provide direction, development and leadership to production supervisors.

  • Incorporate shop floor organization cleanliness through 5S activities with the support of plant personnel.

  • Participate as needed in the candidate interview process for various production roles.

  • Situationally apply company policies within the workplace.

  • Manage and submit weekly temp time.

  • Effectively work cross-functionally with multiple departments and sales channels. 


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • 8-10 years of manufacturing leadership experience required.

  • Degree or expertise in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering preferred. 

  • Strong customer service orientation (internal and external).

  • Exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills.

  • Analytical, creative, and collaborative problem solver.

  • Strategic thinker and generator of ideas for advancing plant operations.

  • Champion for Continuous Improvement in resource allocation, supply chain, and manufacturing processes.
