Shift: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (after training is completed)
Pay: $20/hr - $27/hr DOE
The Bankruptcy Coordinator is responsible for managing delinquent loans through the bankruptcy process according to investor, company, and department expectations, while maintaining compliance and quality standards.
Responsible for servicing mortgage accounts to ensure the bankruptcy is processed in compliance with all state and federal laws while maintaining compliance with Investor, Insurer, Agency and company guidelines. This includes the following:

Conducts complete review of bankruptcy files to ensure all default timeframes have been met.

Manages bankruptcy proceedings on assigned cases by interacting and instructing various parties such as attorneys, investors, insurers, trustees, appraisers and any other party involved with the bankruptcy case.

Monitors attorney performance by reviewing all proceedings, records and timeframes in addition to working all system/database activities throughout the bankruptcy process.

Diligently follows up on all outstanding requests and telephone calls from internal and external partners

Accesses bankruptcy trustee websites to determine the status on payments to trustees.

Audits all bankruptcy accounts for payment compliance and ensures proper application to system of record.

Performs required research on any loan with questionable items such as the application of payments, proper bankruptcy notification, and any other situation that may arise.

Actively reviews and pursues all loss mitigation alternatives in all appropriate customer circumstances and forward any potential customers to the appropriate Loss Mitigation Department for consideration.

Education, Experience and/or Skills:

Two+ years of Bankruptcy experience.

Ability to build rapport quickly to convert inquiries into proper transfers to departments/agents for resolution.

Ability to multitask and effectively manage time.

Ability to communicate effectively – both in written and verbal form.

Desire to take personal responsibility to complete tasks and solve problems.

Bachelor’s or relevant experience in the field.

Excellent organizational skills and strong work ethic.

Ability to remain professional even under strenuous situations.

Be able to take ownership of an issue.
Computer and Equipment Skills

Intermediate in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

MSP or FICS’ Mortgage Servicer a plus
