Security Supervisor

We are seeking a professional and experienced Security Supervisor to lead on-site security operations at our Westside Jacksonville facility. This hands-on leadership role involves supervising daily guard activity, ensuring consistent site safety, maintaining compliance with security policies, and serving as the primary point of contact for the on-site security team.

 Pay: $19/hr

Key Responsibilities:

Supervisory & Administrative Duties:

• Coordinate and schedule staff across four shifts to ensure adequate coverage at all times.

• Oversee daily operations of on-duty security personnel.

• Maintain schedules, coordinate post assignments, and manage call-ins.

• Conduct shift briefings and ensure thorough documentation in daily logs.

• Train, coach, and mentor new and current officers.

• Maintain high performance standards, professional conduct, and accountability.

• Complete and submit incident reports and shift summaries to management.

• Audit patrols and checkpoint logs to ensure compliance and consistency.

Access Control & Facility Oversight:

• Enforce facility access policies: front desk coverage, visitor control, and phone/email screening.

• Coordinate traffic and parking flow during peak activity hours.

• Lock/unlock key facility access points at 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM as required by site policy.

• Maintain accurate logs for:

  1. Waste pickup (driver signature sheet)

  2. Locker assignments and access tracking

  3. Security patrol metrics and checkpoint compliance

Safety, Emergency & Incident Response:

• Respond to and manage incidents including:

  2. Medical emergencies (First Aid/CPR/ERT response)

  3. Fire alarms and drills

  4. Hurricane preparedness and evacuation procedures

  5. Pipe bursts, leaks, or urgent maintenance coordination

  6. Assist during lockdown events per training

• Conduct golf cart patrols, monitor surveillance systems, and maintain visible site presence.

• Follow safety protocols including those related to bloodborne pathogens and hazard awareness.

Qualifications:

• Valid Florida Class D Security License (Required)

• High School Diploma or GED

• 2+ years of experience in security, with at least 1+ year in a leadership role

• First Aid/CPR/AED certification (preferred or willing to obtain)

• Strong verbal/written communication and leadership skills

• Comfortable with incident reporting systems, guard tracking tools, and email

• Dependable, calm under pressure, and highly organized
