Wastewater Treatment Technician

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Wastewater Treatment Technician to join our team in the Ormond Beach area. This position works 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week, and plays a critical role in maintaining environmental compliance and supporting plating operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in hazardous waste handling and a strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes.

Pay $16/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Dump, clean, and refill chemical baths as part of routine maintenance and process control.

• Analyze sampling data to assess metal concentration levels in wastewater.

• Implement corrective actions to ensure ongoing compliance with environmental regulations.

• Visually inspect pipelines and equipment to detect leaks, damage, or wear.

• Recognize hazardous material (HAZMAT) conditions and respond according to safety protocols.

• Support plating operations by utilizing analytical test methods to monitor and optimize chemical processes.

• Ensure consistent product quality by adhering to established procedures and testing standards.

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, sampling, and corrective actions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in hazardous waste handling or HAZMAT-certified is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with plating operations and wastewater treatment systems.

• Ability to read and interpret technical data and environmental compliance guidelines.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Physically able to work on feet for extended periods and perform manual tasks in an industrial setting.
