We are seeking a Sheet Metal Mechanic for an established company in the Green Cove Springs, FL area who will use a wide range of hand tools and equipment to create, maintain, repair and install items made out of sheet metal.
Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 5am to 3:30pm
Pay: $18 - $20 per hour, depending on experience
Job Duties of the Sheet Metal Mechanic:
Set up and program fabrication equipment.
Operate burn tables and small rollers.
Study blueprints or plans, and take exact measurements to determine amount of material needed.
Select materials from various sizes/types of sheet metal, aluminum and stainless steel.
Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets.
Maneuver large sheet metal parts into various machines for Fabricating.
Repair and maintain sheet metal products and machines.
Will be required to help promote a safe working environment every day.
Skills and Qualifications of the Sheet Metal Mechanic:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Previous related experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred.
Working Conditions: Indoor building not climate controlled, dirty and dusty environment.
