Mechanical Assembler

Job Responsibilities:

Building tankless water heating systems that are used for commercial applications. Production positions involve electromechanical assembly, working from blueprints, SOP’s, schematics and/or engineering diagrams, to build the systems.

Job Duties:

•Assemble water heater components, including valve kits, manifolds, distribution boxes, wiring harnesses, pipes, tanks, burners.

• Make electrical and gas connections for subassemblies.

• Ensure proper installation of subassemblies according to instructions

• Perform leak testing (with air).

• Make electrical and gas connections on water heater assemblies.

• Visual inspections.

• Complete checklists and updates to work orders in the computer system.

• Work competently with a variety of hand and power tools.

• Measure and cut copper pipe and gas pipe to spec.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in water heaters.

• Perform repairs or replacements of faulty components.

• Package and prepare final goods for shipment.

Skills and qualifications:

• 3-4 years of HVAC / Mechanical Plumbing assembly or service.

• Ability to read/interpret tape measure, blueprints, engineering drawings and schematics.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.

• Ability to stand for 8+ hours a day.

• Maintain inventory records and fulfill work orders.
