We are seeking a Form Carpenter for an established company in the Cookeville, TN area who will be responsible for building and setting forms for concrete structures such as foundations, walls, columns, and slabs. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, using carpentry tools, and working in a fast-paced construction environment.
Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm
Job Duties of the Form Carpenter:
Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
Measure, cut, assemble, and set wooden, metal, or plastic forms for pouring concrete.
Install bracing and other necessary supports.
Ensure forms are aligned and properly supported before pouring concrete.
Use tools such as saws, hammers, levels, and power drills.
Dismantle forms after concrete is set and cured.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Collaborate with other construction professionals and follow directions from supervisors.
Skills and Qualifications of the Form Carpenter:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
2+ years of experience as a form carpenter or similar role in construction.
Knowledge of concrete formwork systems (e.g., Symons, Peri, Doka) is a plus.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and safety standards.
Physical stamina and strength.
Outdoor job sites; exposure to weather conditions.
May involve standing, bending, and lifting for long period
