Utilities Position

We are seeking Production Associates for an established company in the Cookeville, TN area.

Job Duties of the Production Associate:

• Deliver and remove material from Operators

• Build and/or deliver appropriate boxes and pallets

• Band Redi-Pak boxes

• Ensure that there is a transfer tag that matches the appropriate material prior to moving the material to the warehouse or finished goods area

• Assist mill operators in unloading tables

• Deliver tagged odd lengths (ODL) and long cut scrap to the appropriate area

• Add and remove work order magnets on work in progress (W/P) carts as needed

• Set up Burr Master so it operates effectively while maintaining proper tolerances and form for the product

• Set up and operate correct rolls

• Make boxes and labels

• Retrieve correct skids

• Perform length checks and flare testing

• Sort non-conforming materials

• Tag and/or itemize long cut scrap

• Perform light machining and deburring using power tools

• Maintain clean and safe work area

• Work safely around machines with cutting/moving/pinching movements

• Operate tow motor safely

• Be a team player who supports others as needed
