We are hiring for an EHS Technician on the Westside of Jacksonville.

Pay range is $24.52 - 30.19/hr depending on experience.

The EHS Technician is responsible for supporting workplace safety and environmental health compliance in a 24/7 manufacturing facility. This role involves assessing and analyzing site activities and hazards, implementing safety protocols, promoting regulatory compliance, and fostering a proactive EHS culture. The technician will assist in executing safety policies, conducting training, performing audits, and maintaining EHS documentation in line with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Safety Oversight and Compliance

  • Conduct onsite assessments to verify contractor compliance with EHS policies and federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Assist project teams in improving safety and environmental practices.

  • Provide technical guidance on eliminating unsafe conditions and ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Assist in developing incident reports and EHS communications.

  • Coordinate and review Toolbox talks and PPE assessments .

Reporting and Communication

  • Prepare safety progress reports and studies.

  • Effectively communicate with vendors, project teams, and stakeholders.

  • Represent the company professionally in interactions with the public, contractors, and local officials.

Training and Coordination

  • Offer support and guidance to internal project teams for EHS best practices.

  • Participate in team-based problem-solving and support EHS training initiatives.

 

Education & Certification

  • High-tech diploma or higher (preferred).

  • OSHA 30 and HAZWOPER 24 certification required.

  • Additional EHS-related training and certifications preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years in construction-related EHS roles.

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Safety Technician/Coordinator.

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and NEC compliance.

  • Expertise in electrical and high-voltage safety practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently.

  • Comfortable training large groups.

  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
