Janitor / Custodian

Job Responsibilities: Maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for students, teachers, and staff.. Job Duties: • Classrooms: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, wipe down desks, chairs, and surfaces, empty trash cans. • Hallways: Sweep and mop floors, wipe down walls, clean lockers, and ensure cleanliness of high-traffic areas. • Restrooms: Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, and mirrors, restock soap and paper supplies, mop floors, empty trash. • Cafeteria: Clean tables, chairs, and floors after meals, remove food waste, sanitize surfaces. • Offices and Staff Rooms: Clean desks, vacuum or sweep floors, empty trash, dust surfaces. • Gymnasium: Sweep and mop gym floors, clean equipment, empty trash, wipe down surfaces. • Vacuuming: Regular vacuuming of carpets in classrooms, offices, and other areas. • Waxing and Buffing Floors: Periodic waxing and buffing of floors to maintain shine and durability. • Emptying Trash: Daily removal of trash from classrooms, offices, restrooms, and other areas. • Disinfecting Surfaces: Regular cleaning of high-touch surfaces (doorknobs, handrails, desks) to prevent the spread of germs. • Restocking Supplies: Replenishing hand soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in restrooms and other areas.
