Welder/Fabricator Tier 1

The duties for the position will include but not limited to the following.

Welder/Fabricator Tier 1 - Responsible for efficiently fitting, tacking, welding, rolling, forming, and assembling metal components in accordance with Welding Tier 1.

Full Job Description

 Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures. Must be able to interpret all productions drawings including weld symbols. Determine the appropriate 

welding equipment or method based on requirements. Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material with powered saws to match measurements). Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded. Align components using calipers, 

rulers etc. and clamp pieces. Work as a cross functional team member by checking layout and welding work of other team members to 

ensure accuracy. Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical or 

horizontal). Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws. Maintain equipment in a condition 

that does not compromise safety. Proper use of forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling devices as required. Other 

duties as assigned. Weight lift products weighting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required. 

ASW welding certificate preferred.

Minimum 1 years of experience as a welder preferably in a manufacturing or water utilities 

environment.

Must be able to work under supervision and maintain ongoing communication with the supervisor and peers through verbal instruction and reports

Full Time positions are available.  

3rd shift - Sunday - Wednesday 7:00pm - 5:30am
