Job description

The Production Operator role is a critical position within our facility, contributing to the creation of sustainable energy solutions. This position involves operating and maintaining the machinery used in the assembly line of solar panels, ensuring each unit meets quality and efficiency standards.

 

Role and Responsibilities

 

· Set up equipment, monitoring production processes, and adjusting as necessary to maintain optimal performance.

 

· Collaborate with the technicians, quality, and engineers on any issues or corrections needed with machinery.

 

· Performing solder repairs on damaged or defective solar panel cells.

 

· Inspecting and testing solar panels to identify issues.

 

· Ensuring all repairs meet quality and safety standards.

 

· Documenting repair processes and outcomes.

 

· Identifying and reporting any defects to uphold product standards.

 

· Collaborate with the production leadership to implement process improvements and troubleshoot issues.

 

· Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.

 

· Record production data accurately for inventory tracking and production analysis.

 

· Participate in training sessions to stay updated on the latest industry technologies and production techniques.

 

Accurately identify modules removed from the production line.

Facilitate the proper disposal of waste materials by placing them in designated containers with appropriate sealing.

· Provide feedback to the engineering team on equipment performance and potential enhancements.

 

· Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety standards and environmental regulations.

 

Competencies/Skills/Requirements

 

· High school or GED.

 

· Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment; experience in solar panel assembly is a plus.

 

· Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate complex machinery.

 

· Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and precision.

 

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

 

· Basic computer skills for data entry and production monitoring.

 

· Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, if required.

 

· Ability to lift up to 30 lbs individually or up to 50 lbs in tandem.

 

· Able to sit, stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time during working hours.

 

Job Type: Full-time

 

Pay: From $18.50 per hour

 

Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
