Job Description:
Dark Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to support the Director of Cultivation and Cultivation Lead for cannabis operations in Arcata and Eureka. This role is essential in ensuring smooth day-to-day administrative operations, coordinating meetings, and assisting with SOP development. The ideal candidate will have experience in the cannabis industry and strong administrative skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage calendars and schedule meetings for the Director of Cultivation and Cultivation Lead.
Coordinate internal and external meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes.
Handle correspondence, emails, and phone calls in a professional manner.
Organize and maintain confidential files and documents.
SOP Development & Documentation:
Assist in building, formatting, and organizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cultivation processes.
Ensure SOPs are properly documented, updated, and easily accessible.
Collaborate with the cultivation team to gather input and refine procedures.
Operational Coordination:
Track and follow up on action items and deadlines.
Assist with data entry, reporting, and record-keeping related to cultivation activities.
Help manage inventory logs and maintain compliance records.
Cannabis Industry Knowledge:
Utilize industry knowledge to effectively support the cultivation team.
Understand and adhere to state cannabis regulations.
Assist with compliance-related administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably supporting executives or managers.
Cannabis industry experience is required.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Experience with SOP creation and project coordination.
Familiarity with cannabis compliance software (e.g., METRC) is a plus.
