Job Description:
Dark Staffing Solutions is seeking a Lead Nursery Manager to oversee the nursery operations at an indoor cannabis cultivation facility in Eureka. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cannabis cultivation, with expertise in propagation, plant care, and managing a team. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, organization, and the ability to follow strict cultivation protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Plant Propagation & Care:
Oversee all aspects of plant propagation, including cloning, transplanting, and monitoring plant health.
Implement and follow best practices for optimal growth, including light cycles, watering, and nutrient management.
Identify and address plant health issues, including pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
Team Leadership & Training:
Lead and supervise nursery staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
Train team members on nursery protocols, plant care, and cultivation techniques.
Monitor performance and provide constructive feedback.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all activities comply with local and state cannabis regulations.
Maintain accurate records of plant health, feeding schedules, and environmental conditions.
Assist with METRC tagging and compliance tracking.
Facility Maintenance:
Monitor and maintain environmental controls (humidity, temperature, and airflow) in the nursery.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the nursery area.
Assist with routine maintenance of cultivation equipment.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of cannabis cultivation experience, preferably in a nursery or propagation role.
Prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of cannabis plant care, cloning techniques, and pest/disease management.
Familiarity with cultivation software and METRC compliance is a plus.
Ability to lead and motivate a team.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Comfortable working in a humid environment.
Due to industry requirements, candidates must be 21 years or older.
