Director of Operations

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Salary: $80,000+ (DOE)

Location: On-site

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to oversee and manage day-to-day business operations. This role serves as a key liaison between ownership and staff, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and a strong internal culture. The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, people-focused, and well-versed in cannabis operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily administrative and operational functions across the business
• Act as a direct report to ownership, providing regular updates, reports, and operational insights
• Manage and improve internal systems, workflows, and SOPs
• Ensure full compliance with cannabis regulations (state and local), including coordination with compliance teams and METRC as applicable
• Support HR Department with related functions including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and culture building
• Be the Point of contact and support managers and staff, fostering accountability, communication, and team development
• Utilize technology and software tools to track operations, reporting, scheduling, and performance metrics
• Identify operational gaps and implement scalable solutions as the company grows
• Collaborate cross-functionally with cultivation, production, distribution, and administrative teams

Qualifications & Experience:

• 3–5+ years of operations management experience, preferably within the cannabis industry
• Strong understanding of cannabis compliance, regulations, and operational best practices
• Proven ability to manage people, processes, and multiple priorities simultaneously
• Tech-savvy with experience using operational, HR, and reporting software systems
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with owners, managers, and staff
• Hands-on, adaptable, and solutions-oriented mindset
• Experience building and maintaining positive company culture in a regulated environment
