Job Title: Production Associate
Location: Arcata, CA
Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Start Date: Immediate
Pay Range: $16.50/hr
In this role, you will be responsible for accurately jarring and weighing out cannabis concentrates in compliance with regulatory standards and company procedures. Your primary focus will be ensuring precise measurements and packaging of high-quality cannabis concentrates. You will work closely with production teams to maintain quality control throughout the packaging process while adhering to strict hygiene and safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
Weighing and Packaging: Precisely weigh out cannabis concentrates according to product specifications and SOPs. Package concentrates into designated containers, ensuring accuracy and consistency
Quality Assurance: Conduct visual inspections of cannabis concentrates to ensure they meet quality standards, including appearance, texture, and aroma. Monitor product consistency and report any deviations to supervisors
Compliance: Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines governing cannabis packaging and labeling, including compliance with weight and measurement requirements. Ensure accurate documentation of packaging activities and inventory levels
Hygiene and Safety: Maintain strict hygiene and safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure a clean and safe work environment. Follow proper handling procedures for cannabis concentrates and related equipment
Equipment Operation: Operate packaging equipment, such as scales and jarring machines, safely and efficiently. Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment to ensure proper functioning
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with production, quality control, and compliance teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and maintain efficient workflow. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate packaging activities
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a cannabis production or packaging role, with specific experience in weighing and jarring cannabis concentrates preferred.
- Knowledge of cannabis concentrates and familiarity with different types of concentrate products
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate measurements
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
- Must be 21 years of age or older and eligible to work in the U.S
