Location: Arcata (80%) and Willow Creek (20%)

Job Description: As a Compliance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our cannabis distribution and cultivation operations adhere to all relevant local and state regulations. Your focus will be on maintaining compliance with building codes, METRC, and other cannabis industry regulations. This position requires commitment, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities:
Local Building Code Compliance:
- Stay informed and up-to-date on local building codes applicable to cannabis distribution and cultivation facilities.
- Regularly inspect and assess facilities for compliance with building code requirements.
METRC Compliance:
- Oversee and manage METRC reporting, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of METRC regulations and requirements.
Cannabis Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all local and state cannabis regulations.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to implement and maintain compliance procedures.
Site Visits:
- Spend 80% of your working time in Arcata and 20% in Willow Creek to oversee compliance in both locations.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and organized records related to compliance activities.
- Prepare and submit reports as required by regulatory authorities.
Training and Education:
- Provide training to staff on compliance-related matters.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and update relevant stakeholders accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in cannabis compliance, with a strong understanding of METRC and local building codes.
- Familiarity with state and local regulations governing cannabis distribution and cultivation.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
