Job Title: Indoor Cultivation Assistant
Location: Arcata, CA
Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Start Date: Immediate
Pay Range: $17-$20/hr
Job Summary: As an Indoor Cultivation Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the cultivation of various crops within an indoor growing facility. This position requires a strong attention to detail, a passion for plant care, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of cultivation professionals. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with daily operations, maintaining a controlled environment, and ensuring the overall health and productivity of the crops.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the health of plants throughout their growth cycles
- Perform tasks such as pruning, transplanting, and harvesting according to established procedures
- Ensure proper nutrient and irrigation schedules are followed
- Assist in maintaining optimal environmental conditions, including temperature, humidity, and light levels
- Operate and monitor equipment such as climate control systems, irrigation systems, and lighting
- Collaborate with cultivation team members to execute cultivation plans and strategies
- Assist in the implementation of pest and disease control measures
- Follow established protocols for integrated pest management (IPM) and disease prevention
- Contribute to the cleanliness and organization of the cultivation facility
- Assist in routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and sanitizing equipment and grow spaces
- Adhere to all relevant regulations and compliance standards related to indoor cultivation
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Familiarity with cannabis cultivation
Must be 21 years or older to work with cannabis
Must present documentation you can legally work in the U.S
