Do you have bookkeeping experience but looking for something new? We have an exciting opportunity for a bookkeeper at a local dispensary! The ideal candidate will be professional and team-oriented.   • Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner
  • Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as-needed basis
  • Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner
  • Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function, including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
  • Perform account receivable functions, including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
  • Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
  • Documenting transaction details
  • Putting together financial reports
  • Fact-checking accounting data
  • Notify senior staff of any accounting errors
  • Calculate interest charges
  • Recording financial transactions
  • Tracking payroll data
  • Review and record bank transactions
  • Prepare weekly vendor payments proposal and issue payments
  • Reconcile multiple bank accounts
  • Review, record, and process employee expense reimbursements in accordance with company policy
  • Respond to employee and vendor inquiries as needed
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • Verify vendor account balances by reconciling monthly statements and recording related transactions
  • Assist with related month-end close tasks
  • Manage and maintain relationships with vendors and employees
  • Prepare and issue year-end tax documents
  • Assist in audits as needed
  • Travel to different locations within Humboldt, CA
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as requested


  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient skills in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
