Job Summary:


The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production and processing equipment in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role ensures that all machinery and related systems operate efficiently and safely, supporting continuous production and minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs across a wide range of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain production and processing equipment, including but not limited to: hydraulic and pneumatic systems, robotics, motors, pumps, conveyors, and cooking equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with malfunctioning equipment components to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and manufacturers’ manuals to understand proper equipment operation and repair procedures.
  • Execute and maintain a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to ensure all equipment remains in optimal condition.
  • Accurately complete and maintain maintenance records, including work orders, inspection logs, and task reports.
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in compliance with company and safety standards.
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with control systems and automation.
  • Apply systematic troubleshooting methods to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or operational problems.
  • Conduct equipment setup, start-up, adjustments, operation, shutdowns, and changeovers per company procedures and production needs.
