EPC Electrical Engineer – Power Systems (1697396)       $110k – $145k per year

Job Description:

The role is responsible for the execution of electrical, instrumentation, and controls project work in an EPC growing Station EIC group. This includes technical project execution and client interface/management. Ultimately this role supports the EIC Engineering Manager and ensures that project requirements are met or exceeded during the execution of projects. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

• Possess and maintain broad and in-depth knowledge of principles, practices, procedures, and standards related electrical, instrumentation, controls, and automation systems
• Overall success and coordination of the electrical scope on technical projects 
• Ensure electrical group follows department procedures and standards 
• Responsible for providing direction and make final decisions within the electrical scope on technical projects 
• Support for initial design on projects including overall objective and scope, supporting and input to developing overall power system design 
• Support for all electrical deliverables, development on instrument lists, I/O lists, loop and wiring diagrams, incorporating all information from vendor documents, development of ETAP/SLD and power system model, physical layout design, circuit/conduit schedules, support equipment specification, support RFQ packages, develop MTO’s, contractor scope of work 
• Support to P&ID development and reviews Support Construction and Commissioning needs DIRECTION RECEIVED Supervision and guidance related largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters. Check in on daily basis with supervisor. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering required, from an ABET accredited curriculum or equivalent
• 4-13 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas, Utility, Power or Energy industries
• P.E. preferred
