Company is an international leader in industrial mixes and foundry sand technology and machines. Our primary products include batch and continuous high intensity mulling equipment, molding sand coolers, on-line mixer control and automation systems, core sand preparation systems, foundry reclamation systems and sand testing equipment.
Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities summary:
This position is primarily responsible for processing the critical engineering tasks necessary to complete an engineering project or job.
This typically includes all necessary tasks to process a complete piece of equipment through engineering including:
- project assessment (customer requirements)
- initial arrangement drawings for customer approval
- concept design (customization, assembly drawings and general BOM creation)
- delegation, supervision and checking of drafting
- documentation of tasks to drafters and clerical personnel
- submission of complete shop drawings and BOM’s to Supervisor
- approvals submitted to manufacturing
- support manufacturing during the production process
- Responsible for Design of foundry equipment (Coolers, Mixers, etc.)
- Responsible for assembly drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM's)
QUALIFICATIONS – Required:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience designing capital equipment / heavy machinery (Not automotive or caterpillar)
- Experience with framing, pneumatics, hydraulics, drives, gearboxes, etc...
- Minimum 5-years of experience with complete machine design
- Strong AutoCAD abilities, SolidWorks experience a plus - but not required
