Join a leading innovator in packaging line automation as an Electrical Automation Project Lead. This dynamic position places you at the heart of custom-designed container handling machine development, allowing you to lead end-to-end electrical automation initiatives that transform manufacturing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage customer projects from start to finish, ensuring specifications are met and overseeing timelines, budgets, and multi-department coordination.
• Design and develop electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Create PLC, HMI, and advanced motion control programs from scratch using Allen Bradley Controllers.
• Spearhead new product innovations and enhance existing automation systems.
• Develop robotic and vision system software, including orientation and feature detection applications.
• Supervise electrical panel builds and conduct daily progress reviews.
• Maintain direct interaction with customers to ensure alignment and success of installations.
• Author detailed documentation, including operator manuals and user guides.
• Travel (~15%) for customer site installations, startups, or troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical automation and control system design.
• Strong expertise in UL-compliant electrical design and troubleshooting.
• Advanced knowledge of PLC, HMI, robotics, and motion control systems.
• Experience with Ethernet/IP networks and cyclic rotary motion is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Additional Details:
• Full-time, direct-hire opportunity with a flexible schedule.
• Located in Glenwood, IL with approximately 15% travel.
