Culture:

» This role supports administrative initiatives, advances strategic goals, and oversees specific functional areas to ensure effective service delivery. The Assistant provides policy guidance, coordinates with city commissions, prepares reports, and handles public inquiries, contributing to the efficient operations of the municipality.


Daily Workflow:

» Operational Oversight: Coordinate and direct the activities of assigned areas, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, responsively, and cost-effectively.

» Work closely with the Administrator to implement established policies and priority projects. Provide recommendations and policy support.

» Prepare and oversee the development of various reports, presentations, and documents for members, executives, and public agencies. 

» Respond to inquiries about programs, policies, and procedures.

» Assist in preparing agendas, draft and proof correspondence, take meeting minutes, and distribute packets.

» Manage records, assist with budgeting documents, process public records requests, and maintain filing systems.


We’re Seeking:

» Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field preferred

» Minimum of three years in program management, finance, or administrative functions, including experience in leadership roles within a diverse organization.

» Proficient in computer software (word processing, spreadsheets), strong organizational and communication abilities, attention to detail, and the capability to handle multiple priorities.

» Experience working within a public agency is preferred

» Must pass a drug test and criminal background check


Schedule:

» Monday – Friday 8 am-5 pm

» Variance in schedule to be determined with client to accommodate for council meetings & events
