Client in Ft. Inn, SC is in the market for a Supply Chain Planner
Direct Hire Pay: $70K-$90K (Depends on Experience)
Hours: 8am-5pm (Monday - Friday)
Job Title: Supply Chain Planner Job Summary
The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies that balance demand, inventory, and supply to ensure product availability while minimizing costs. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams—including procurement, manufacturing, logistics, sales, and finance—to optimize end-to-end supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities

Planning & Forecasting

Develop and maintain supply and demand plans using forecasting tools and ERP/MRP systems.

Translate demand forecasts into supply requirements, ensuring alignment with production and procurement.

Monitor forecast accuracy and collaborate with sales and operations to improve reliability.

Inventory Management
-
Maintain optimal inventory levels to support customer demand while minimizing carrying costs.

Track inventory health, safety stock, and replenishment needs.

Identify and mitigate risks of stockouts or excess inventory.

Production & Procurement Alignment

Create and release production plans to meet demand requirements.

Work closely with procurement to ensure timely supply of raw materials and components.

Coordinate with suppliers to resolve shortages, delays, or quality issues.

Collaboration & Communication

Partner with sales, marketing, and finance to align supply chain plans with business objectives.

Provide supply chain visibility and reporting to stakeholders.

Lead supply review meetings as part of the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process.

Continuous Improvement

Identify process inefficiencies and implement best practices in planning, forecasting, and inventory management.

Leverage data analytics and KPIs to enhance decision-making.

Support system enhancements and digital transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.

2–5 years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, or production planning (depending on seniority).

Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

APICS/CPIM certification is a plus.
