Chase Staffing is hiring for a Quality Control Lab Technician for a client in the Cartersville, GA area.
This is a direct hire opportunity.
Pay: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour
11:00am – 7:30pm Monday – Friday (this person would also need to cover 2nd shift if needed)
2:00pm – 10:30pm Monday – Friday
Required Qualifications
1. Food and beverage experience within in a lab setting
2. 2+ years’ experience in laboratory environment
3. SAP Knowledge or similar platform
The Quality Control Lab Technician is responsible for chemical, physical and/or microbiological analysis of beverage components and blends. Duties include preparing documentation and performing testing and analysis of samples to ensure quality and food safety standards are met.

1. Verify that lab equipment is functioning properly by performing and documenting calibrations on a daily or weekly basis depending on equipment
2. Conduct physical and chemical analysis such as brix, moisture, acidity, pH, etc of beverages, syrups, flavors and raw materials throughout the entire production process
3. Perform sensory analysis on all bulks and finished product throughout the shift
4. Conduct filling line quality inspections on the production floor which includes temperature checks, torques, weights and packaging checks
5. Verify effectiveness of cleaning and sanitation procedures by performing pre and post-operational inspections of production equipment as well as perform ATP swabbing
6. Ability to confidently make batch adjustments when a product is out of specification such as adding acid or base to a sample
7. Responsible for placing product on hold when it does not meet quality and/or food safety specifications and communicating to appropriate parties
8. Upkeep of laboratory to include daily cleaning of benchtops and equipment and restocking of supplies
9. Support investigations of customer complaint issues as needed
10. Collecting and sending customers production samples per their requests
11. Collecting and sending samples required for third party testing
12. Responsible to adhere to as well as implement and enforce internal standards concerning hygiene, HACCP, food/quality and job safety
13. Work and communicate closely with production personnel
14. Maintain an organized, clean, safe & health-conscious work environment
15. Ability to enter and maintain information in ERP (SAP) system
16. Maintain and complete batch records for all products
17. Maintaining upkeep and organization of retain area
