1st shift Material Handler

Hours: 7am-3pm (M-F)

Starting Pay: $15.00 - 180 Evaluation Period - after this period, pay will increase to $17.40 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION - Material Handler  

Principle Job Duties 

  • Identify, sort, and count all incoming deposit bobbins and bobbin boxes. 

  • Complete and tum in accurate paperwork to main office showing counts of deposit and non-deposit bobbin items returned from customers so that credit can be given. 

  • Label all In-Process (IP) material whether located on the production floor or in the storage racks. 

  • Identify, weigh and re-label any material returning from an IP category to a stock category. This information is turned in to the main office. 

  • Responsible for the overall appearance and accuracy of materials located within the In-Process cage area. 

  • Identify, clean and complete necessary paperwork for any unidentified material found within the plant. 

  • Scrap wire from customers as well as in-house as required. 

  • Any other duties as requested by Management. 

 

Requirements and Qualifications Needed 

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience 

  • Materials Handling Safety 

  • Back Safety Training 

  • Hazardous Material Training 

  • ISO Training 

  • Forklift/Powered Industrial Truck Safety Training 

  • Compressed Gas Cylinder Training 

 

Responsibility and Authority Regarding Non-Conforming Product 

  • Immediately notify Management of any damage to incoming/outgoing goods or packaging materials which could lead to non-conforming product. 

  • It is the responsibility of the material handler to bring to the attention of Management any product that could be classified as non-conforming product.
