Job Title: Inventory & Shipping Clerk
Location: Elk Grove, Village, IL
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $22.00/hour (Based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and well-rounded Inventory & Shipping Clerk to join our team. This role requires flexibility and a willingness to assist in multiple areas, including assembly, kitting, item/warehouse receipts, and shipping/receiving. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips.

Accurately enter received items into the ERP system.

Maintain organized and accurate inventory records.

Perform cycle counts and inventory reconciliations as needed.
Shipping & Receiving:

Prepare and package orders for shipment according to customer requirements.

Generate and process shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists, labels, etc.).

Schedule pickups with carriers and ensure timely dispatch of shipments.

Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.
Assembly & Kitting:

Assist in basic product assembly and kit preparation as needed.

Ensure all components are accurately included in kits and properly labeled.

Follow assembly instructions and quality standards.
General Warehouse Support:

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Assist with moving and storing materials using appropriate equipment (forklift certification a plus).

Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
Administrative & System Work:

Enter data accurately into the ERP system for inventory, shipping, and receiving transactions.

Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for reporting, documentation, and communication.

Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

2+ years of experience in inventory control, shipping/receiving, or warehouse operations.

Proficient with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

Forklift certification preferred but not required.

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
