Assembler / Fabricator with our customer in Aurora, Illinois. This position will report to the Plant Manager and the successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and professional manufacturing team. OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Assembles by hand or using hand tools or portable powered tools or operates equipment as necessary to produce or process products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Gathers and assembles finished components to make final product

Assemble, install, align, adjust and fit sub-assemblies and parts or auxiliary equipment using appropriate tools and equipment as per work instructions.

Layout, cut, weld and glue thermoplastic sheet, rod and pipe

Marks cutting lines on prefabricated parts and cuts and trims parts according to instruction

Aligns components, and bolts, screws, or glue them together

Installs and tests moving parts

May be assigned to different workstations as production needs

May be part of a crew and assist skilled operators in performance of skilled function

May spray surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working area with protective or decorative material, such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer, using spray gun

May assist with shipping and receiving

May repair units that fail to meet specifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING

High School diploma or GED required

Knowledge of pipe fitting skills a plus

Wood or metal fabrication skills a plus
