Tech II, Operations Quality Assurance Salary Range: $20-22 Hourly 2nd shift M-T (12-hour days) 530pm-6am and Fridays 530pm-9pm Knowledge & Experience: Requires 3 years as an inspector, supplier source auditor, or new product test technician in Quality Assurance/Control Department. A.A.S. degree in a quality-related discipline is preferred. The appropriate combination of education and work experience will be considered.. Must possess intermediate level computer skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel & Outlook ) Smartsheet experience a plus. Must exhibit strong attention to detail. The candidate for this position must be able to work independently, is proactive and organized in their daily responsibilities, is team-oriented, and works productively and collaboratively across multiple departments and functions. Ability to use and interpret adjustable measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and scales. Ability to effectively read and interpret documents such as blueprints, designs, method and procedure manuals, production standards, safety and environmental rules and regulations, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions. Essential Functions | Accountabilities | Performance Measures • Monitor production processing via scheduled and random QA audits. • Conduct quality inspections using proper equipment/tools and standardized practices • Document and communicate with the Materials Team, Operations Team, and Management Team any rejection or QAHOLDs that occurs as a result of an in-process and/or incoming product that fails to meet Quality Specifications • Remain current on quality initiative programs and equipment. • Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspection results. • Ensure outgoing products comply with required specifications. • Ensure production personnel are following proper procedure for ongoing production checks. • Notify supervisors when Quality checks aren’t being performed by production team. • Enters Audit findings on smart sheet. • Ensure incoming materials comply with established specifications. • Performs internal process and facility audits to comply with NSF Standards • Manage and assist with problem solving with root cause analyses and document corrective actions for all product deviations that fall under a minor defect category, which do not violate form, fit, or function. • Ensure that all tools, equipment, and devices that require calibration are done according to schedule. • Assist with issuing Quality Bulletins with signoffs when applicable as soon as quality incidents occur. • Make a minimum of 5 safety observations per week. • Regular and punctual attendance, consistently adhere to the assigned work schedule • Comply with all GMP requirements and adhere to all safety policies and procedures • Other duties as assigned Communication & Influence: Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present and communicate processes, procedures, product specifications and gauging methods. Must exhibit strong attention to detail. Problem Solving & Complexity: Problems and issues faced are routine and solutions clearly prescribed. Follows a well-established and familiar set of activities and/or process to derive a solution. May have responsibility for checking data and information for minor changes. Work Environment: Manufacturing Physical Demands: • Wear safety attire and protective gear on a daily basis. • Usually work indoors. This site may not be temperature controlled. • Often exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels. • Are exposed to hazardous equipment on a weekly basis. • May be exposed to contaminant. • May share workspace with others
