Job Title: Enclosure Welder Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Enclosure Welder with experience in structural welding for large projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in welding heavy-duty materials, with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. This position requires the use of respirators for certain materials and prior experience with crane operations to assist in the handling of large components. Key Responsibilities: • Perform structural welding on large-scale projects, ensuring quality and precision in all welds. • Work with various materials, including but not limited to steel and other heavy-duty metals. • Operate and manage cranes for the safe handling and placement of large materials during welding operations. • Adhere to all safety guidelines, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators when working with gavel or hazardous materials. • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to determine welding requirements. • Inspect completed welds for defects and quality assurance. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols. • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and production goals. • Assist in the setup, teardown, and preparation of welding stations. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Proven experience as an Enclosure Welder or in a similar structural welding role, particularly with large-scale projects. • Expertise in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding. • Ability to operate a crane safely and efficiently. • Experience working with gavel and other heavy-duty materials. • Must be able to read a tape measure • Knowledge of safety regulations and the use of PPE, including respirators. • Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and meet deadlines. Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift heavy materials and operate machinery. • Capability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to fumes (with proper respiratory protection). • Standing, bending, and climbing for extended periods as needed during welding tasks. Preferred Qualifications: • Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME). • Previous crane operator certification or training.
