CMM Programmer critical/challenging role helping achieve innovation, meeting commitments developing/maintaining coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programs safely inspect/verify received parts, qualify acceptance according to documented criteria/established customer requirements. Duties/Responsibilities - Develop/generate CMM programs for efficient/precise CMM component inspections for new/existing components. Develop/maintain setup processes & CMM fixturing to facilitate accurate/consistent component inspections. Review/improve CMM programs increase efficiency/accuracy. Review engineering drawings/specifications, to customer specifications, to establish correct inspection criteria using approved measurement techniques. Geometric Dimensioning/Tolerances (GD&T) as needed. Generate, process, & store CMM quality documents including inspection records/nonconformance documentation. Train inspection employees high level emphasis in safety, accuracy, & sense of pace during all CMM inspections. Duties/Responsibilities - Inspection processes including marking/next process information generation. Implement new work processes, streamline production assuring compliance with HSE/OSHA policies/practices. Calibration activities/training. Verify CMM equipment calibrated/active status prior to inspection/test performed. Ensure inspection records accurate, complete, & properly stored establishing departmental procedures. Safely, effectively, & efficiently perform testing duties to 100% accuracy. Complete paperwork in required manner/time frame. Willingness to learn to produce new products, use new procedures, & embrace/support change. Follow/support established HSE programs. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities - Knowledge reading drawings/GD&T concepts (profile/true positioning measurements). Knowledge of standards ANSI/ASME, API & ISO. Problem-solving, mathematic, analysis skills. Strong attention to detail/focus on quality. Familiar with Lean Manufacturing techniques. Complete assigned tasks near 100% accuracy on ongoing basis. Establish/maintain constructive working relationships with people. Manage multiple task/projects daily fast-paced manufacturing environment. Work under time constraints with changing priorities. Communicate technical information verbally/in writing with others at all levels of organization. Speak, write/read English. Work independently/or team on a broad variety of projects. Willingness to work additional hours meet tight deadlines. Qualification Requirements - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.(4)years direct experience in a quality inspection role. Current CMSC 3D Metrology or equivalent certification may be used to meet education/experience requirements. Must obtain/maintain active Level 2 certification to operate Class I Electric Sit-down forklifts. Obtain/maintain active certification to operate cranes. Physical Requirements - Lift/carry up to 30 lbs. Walking, sitting, and/or standing. Tools/Equipment Used - Coordinate Marking Machine (CMM), associated fixtures, & equipment, computer equipment including but not limited to computer, monitors, keyboard, mouse, scanner, printer, & computerized data acquisition hardware/software. Company designated software programs including but not limited to ERP, project time tracking software, employee time tracking software, office productivity software packages. Measuring tools including but not limited to digital/dial calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, overhead cranes/other lifting devices including but not limited to 1/2-ton cranes, 1-ton cranes, 5-ton cranes, & rigging, Class I forklifts. Quality/Customer Service - Impacts workplace safety through participation in HSE programs/safe work practices, first pass test percentage, on-time delivery, & customer satisfaction through highly effective/detailed inspections of components prior to being released for assembly. Indirectly impacts customer satisfaction through quality of finished product and on-time delivery.
