Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of excavating equipment, including Caterpillar machinery, and will be responsible for performing excavation tasks on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of construction site operations and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to ensure project success.
Duties
- Operate excavators, and possibly other equipment to perform digging and grading tasks efficiently and safely.
- Execute precise movements during excavation as requested.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate work schedules and project timelines.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on construction sites.
- Load and unload materials using dump trucks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience operating excavators, and other equipment.
- Familiarity with commercial driving practices is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand construction plans is an asset.
- Experience working on various construction sites with a focus on teamwork and communication.
