The hours are normally 6:30am - 5:00pm, but may be extended to until task is complete; some weekends and holidays may be needed.

Job Requirements
The duties of the temporary labor personnel will include but are not limited to:
- Operating job specific equipment, such as commercial mowers, weedeaters, push mowers, edgers, and hand tools.
- Temporary employees will help in the collection of litter on City and State streets, Right-of-Ways, parks, and open spaces. Personnel will also assist with the maintenance and cleaning of trashcans, sidewalks, herbicide spraying, landscape maintenance, etc.
- Will be required to use shovels, rakes, brooms, backpack blowers, weedeaters, Billy Goats vacuums, other small hand, and power tools
- The physical requirements of the job are standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, wakling on uneven surfaces, shoveling, and heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- This position will be performed outside in a all weather conditions.
- Must have & maintain a valid NC Driver's License and a safe driving record
- Must pass Criminal Background Check & Motor Vehicle Check (MVR), and pre-employment drug screen
Once approved by Field Operations Mgmt., temporary employee will be trained on all relevant City and Department safety policies. Temporary employees will receive training on operating their assigned equipment and the areas in which they will work. Temporary staff will NOT do maintenance or make adjustments to City of Greensboro equipment.
