The HR Manager will have approximately 150-300 employees with a mix of permanent and temporary workforce, partnering with leaders across operations, warehouse, and support functions. You’ll manage the operations of the full scope of HR: employee relations, compliance, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, benefits support, and more.

The HR Manager will partner with the Head of People to implement strategies that will elevate the employees’ experience at this site. You’ll play a key role in shaping that environment – ensuring that our people feel supported and our operations run smoothly.
What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities):
- Serve as the primary HR contact for the site, supporting employees and leaders on all HR matters
- Partner with hiring managers to drive full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding
- Administer and oversee time off policies, attendance management, and performance improvement plans
- Manage and process weekly/biweekly payroll, including timecard approvals, adjustments, and coordination with corporate payroll
- Coach supervisors and employees on workplace issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain required records
- Support and improve employee engagement and retention through proactive communication and recognition
- Coordinate and assist in the delivery of training on topics such as workplace conduct, safety, and company policies
- Collaborate with Corporate HR and Finance on payroll, benefits administration, and employee data accuracy
- Lead employee offboarding processes, including exit interviews and recommendations for improvement
- Organize and participate in culture-building initiatives, appreciation events, and employee celebrations (company events may occur off-site and outside of regular business hours these may include but not be limited to community events, team outings, volunteer activities, shift-based initiatives)
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a direct report
What You Bring (requirements):
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Business, or related field
- 7+ years of HR experience, including at least 2 years in manufacturing/light industrial environments
- Demonstrated ability to manage employee relations and support frontline leadership
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including OSHA, EEOC, FMLA, ADA, and wage & hour regulations
- Experience supporting safety programs, managing accommodations, and guiding investigations or corrective actions
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
- Highly organized and computer savvy, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Confidentiality and discretion is imperative for this role
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a must
