Axiom Staffing is recruiting for a Press Brake Operator in Greencastle,PA:

- Candidate will work Monday-Friday, 7:00a-3:30p

- Weekly Pay $20-22/hr based on exp

Job Overview:

As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the press brake machines to bend metal sheets and plates according to the required specifications. You will be expected to read and interpret technical blueprints and work orders, set up the machines, and monitor the production process to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret technical blueprints and work orders to determine specifications for the metal sheets and plates that need to be bent on the press brake machine.

• Set up the press brake machine by installing the correct tooling, aligning the metal sheet or plate, and selecting the appropriate bending sequence.

• Operate the press brake machine by following the bending program, adjusting the position of the back gauge and ram as needed, and monitoring the alignment and quality of the finished product.

• Inspect the finished product for defects, measure its dimensions using precision measuring tools, and complete necessary documentation.

• Maintain the press brake machine by performing regular cleaning, lubricating, and repairing tasks, and notifying the maintenance team of any significant issues.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a press brake operator.

• Proven ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and work orders.

• Familiarity with different types of press brake machines and tooling.

• Good understanding of metal fabrication techniques, quality standards, and safety procedures.

• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
