Responsibilities:

 

  •   Leader of plant Quality initiatives
  •   Maintain statistical process controls
  •   Identify statistical methods relevant to remanufacturing processes and products
  •   Collecting, analyzing, summarizing data and making recommendations
  •   Internal and External Quality Reporting
  •   Ensures adherence to relevant company and governmental quality standards
  •   Brainstorm ideas to create solutions for identified problems
  •   Train and motivate employees to ensure that quality standards are met
  •   Create and implement company quality standards
  •   Development of inspection and work instructions
  •   In process, final, and receiving inspection
  •   Preparation of inspection reports
  •   Coordination and performance of internal process/product audits

 

Quality Manager Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Performance process capability studies
  • Root cause analysis experience
  • Corrective Action Reporting
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management
  • Capacity to work independently from general supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and obtain results working within strict time frames
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to read and interpret product drawings and engineering specifications
  • Knowledge of operating measurement equipment
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes

 

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent or equivalent work experience
  • 2-5 years in a manufacturing environment preferred (work or school)
  • Above average math skills (sound knowledge in both statistics and calculus)
  • Experience with inspection of machine components, and performance of gage R&R studies preferred
