Job Duties include:
• Prepare agendas for County Council and Council committee meetings
• Issue notices and correspond with local press agencies for Council meetings
• Receive and organize documents, to bring to the attention of Council at monthly meetings
• Issue Public Hearing notices to be submitted to local press agencies
• Maintain County records and files for County Council, and County Administration
• Responsible for purchasing and keeping financial records of all County Council transactions
• Reconcile office purchasing accounts and monthly credit card reports for County Council and County Administration
• Record and file County approved and signed Ordinances, Resolutions, Petitions, Meeting Minutes, and other legal documents
• Communicate and work with the County Attorney on legal policies and procedures
• Attend all regular and special Council meetings
• Custodian of County seal, meeting minutes, and Code of Ordinances
• Attest and certify official documents on behalf of Council
• Receive and handle Council phone calls and correspondence
• Maintain calendar for Council members, and schedules meetings and appointments
• Prepare and write resolutions, proclamations, and some ordinances, if needed
• Prepare & write follow up minutes from meetings
• Maintains official records of Council appointments to County boards or commissions
• Assist with special projects and programs, such as Ribbon cuttings and Groundbreakings
• Prepare documents and payment to non-profit agencies from Council contingency fund allocations
